Ein Spiegelkreis dient zur Bestimmung von Winkelabständen astronomischer Objekte. Das Instrument befindet sich im Museum der Universitätssternwarte Wien. Technische Details: Messing, teilversilbert; Durchmesser des Teilkreisringes 27,5 cm, quadratische Versteifung mit Zusatzstreben, silberner Skalenstreifen mit Teilung 1/3°, bezeichnet in 10°-Schritten zwi-schen 160°–0°–160°, weitere Skalenstriche ohne Bezeichnung, drei Alhidadenarme mit Nonius, davon eine mit Rändelstellschraube und Klemmschraube, Vorrichtung zum Aufstecken einer Ableselupe (fehlt), 2 Sätze Sonnengläser grün, dunkel- und hellrot im direkten und im gespiegelten Strahlengang, Länge Fernrohr etwa 13 cm (Optik fehlt), 2 hölzerne Handgriffe, der rückseitige mit Gewindeeinsatz ohne Stativ Sign. auf einem Alhidadenarm „Troughton 114 London“ Lit.: Astronomische Instrumente.
