Cassegrain reflector by Bernhard Schmidt (mirror) The mirror of the instrument was produced by Bernhard Schmidt in Hamburg about 1930. The installation in the northern dome of the University Observatory in Vienna took place not until 1954. Today the Cassegrain reflector is located in the round hall of the observatory.
